LSU vs. Florida State Best Bets

What a weekend to start the year in college football. The day started off strong as Colorado and TCU played a great game with Coach Prime and the Buffaloes going into Fort Worth and pulled off the upset. Unfortunately, I had TCU -20.5 as one of just three losses on the day.

A few other notable bets were the Fresno State-Purdue over and Devin Mockobee anytime touchdown. The over cashed in the first half while Mockobee scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter. The most frustrating loss was either Emeka Egbuka over receiving yards or the over in the UTSA vs. Houston game. Ohio State’s passing offense look atrocious against a terrible passing defense in Indiana. UTSA and Houston had a ton of scoring chances and kept making mistakes. There were multiple missed field goals which was unfortunate, but we move.

With just a few games for college today, I’ll only be breaking down one game. Here are a few bets that you should consider for the LSU vs. Florida State game Sunday night.

Florida State Moneyline (+105) vs. LSU

The line is moving in favor of Florida State for good reason. Everybody looks at LSU as the superior team in this one, but I’m much higher on Florida State. Their weapons offensively are insane and I don’t see how LSU will be able to stop all the guys. Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, Jaheim Bell in the passing game and Trey Benson in the run game. The Florida State offensive line is also one of the most developed in the country which you love to see in big games like this. I think the Florida State offense scores a game winning touchdown in the final minute of the game to pull off the big win.

Jayden Daniels Over 45.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

With as good as I expect Florida State to do, their run defense is the only concern for me. They’ll have one of the best secondaries in college football with guys like Fentrell Cypress II, Shyheim Brown , and a number of others. I expect Daniels to be forced to run by this Florida State passing defense. He’s shown throughout his career that he will not force an interception, he’d rather get plus yards with his legs. He went over this total in eight of 12 games last season including when he rushed for 114 against Florida State in the opener.

Keon Coleman Anytime Touchdown (+125) & Over 54.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

The country is going to find out who Keon Coleman is. He will be the best offensive player on the field tonight and it will show. He’s got good size and enough speed to get away from defenders. I think he has a long reception at some point in tonight’s game. Many are on Johnny Wilson which makes sense with his size and ability, but Coleman will have just as big of a role in this offense. Florida State is well balanced, so he should have a number of opportunities to get targeted. LSU was good against the pass last season, but I think they’ll have some issues limiting this wide receiving core of Florida State.

SAME GAME PARLAY OF THE DAY: Florida State Moneyline, Jayden Daniels Over 45.5 Rushing Yards, Keon Coleman Over 54.5 Receiving Yards (+653)

CFB RECORD THIS YEAR: 17-7

CFB PARLAY OF THE DAY RECORD: 0-4
